We are pleased to welcome to the team Ashley Woods as investigator in training. She will be a good addition to the team I believe, and her picture and Bio will soon be added.
So again, Welcome to the team ! Dir. Michael Mannings
Between the hours of three pm and six pm on this Saturday.
Pray this prayer:
Heavenly Father I come before you knowing you hear and answer all prayers. As stated in Psalm 34:17 “The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers the…m from all their troubles”.
I come before you this day to support Hometown Paranormal at the location that they are blessing. I am asking that you cover the home with a hedge of protection, the people who live there with a cloak of safety and love, those who are blessing the home with first the authority given to them, and second that they be kept in safety from harm from anything negative, harmful, or malicious.
As in Psalm 91 Verses 14-16 which states “The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.”
It is out of this promice I come to you asking for your help for the team blessing the home and those who live in and visit the location Hometown Paranormal is blessing.
That nothing can stop or deter them from thier mission to help this family.
That they all, clients, and team, be safe from this day and evermore.
Father, we thank you with all our being for this protection you assigned to your servants, and those they are helping this day. It is in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, your one and only son that we pray, AMEN
Note: During this case I have been scratched, made ill, been bruised, other team mates were affected by negative influence prior to attempting the last blessing, which was called off. A member of my team was choked almost unconscious during the actual inestigation, she is fine. And much more. So right now feels right, the people going feel right, and I KNOW we will be successful but I know the power of prayer, so why not bring the biggest hand to the table. Though I know we will win, your prayer support is apreciated. And the family apreciates the prayers.
Director and Co Founder: Rev. Michael A. Mannings
Ps. What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31 states it all. Thanks for your prayers.
On 21 December 2012 at 2000 hours Hometown Paranormal consisting of the Director & Co founder: Rev. Michael A. Mannings, The Assistant Director: Dawn Thibault, and Investigator: Rachel Russin arrived on location at the clients home and set up. We ran numerous pieces of tech.
We found that there were a few personal experiences that the team had, along with a hour and a half yes and no call and responce session with a little boy from the 1800′s. This was the longest session we have ever had.
We used a K-II and a flashlight, one would be yes and the other no, those we altered along with question speed, and asking same question in different ways multiple times.
The accuracy was 98%
We found nothing harmful at this location, and it appeared that fear is a big factor at this location. We will now work with the family to resolve the issues they appear to be having within the location.
As of 11-7-2012 Hometown Paranormal has the following to post:
This summer was a little slow. We worked one case, and it is still on going. We closed another case from last winter. Several blessings were performed by Rev. Mannings. The rest of the time we spend it away from the team, dealing with some things in our own lives.
All in all, summer, was way too short.
We will keep you posted.

We are pleased to announce that we are bringing back Silent Shadows radio. It will air at http://silentshadowsradio.listen2myradio.com/ at different times in the month. Watch the forums and on this site for times and content.
Three of us went to check out a case here in Vermont. The site check was interesting for me. Now we are just in the planning phase.
Hi All,
I wanted to let everybody know that I have put two forms on the web site for you to use. The first is a application to join the team. The second is a journal for clients.
Both are in PDF and require adobe reader to use. Fill out, save a copy, and email to us when we are working your case, or to join the team.
All of us here at Hometown Paranormal want to wish you all out there a Happy Easter!
We just performed a case where earlier this month we checked out the case, then this past weekend we investigated. All team members had an experience or two. But two members were, had negative dealings physically. Possibly a third. Then in the end a simple house blessing turned into a deliverance.
Nothing simple about the case.
In the end the negative thing was moved on, from those affected, the clients, and the home. Not by our hand. But by God’s will.
I am only glad to have been picked by God for the mission once again.
Hey folks,
I got to enjoy the event at the Ethan Allen Homestead, and a couple of people came up after. I wish I could have spent time with them as I wanted to. But sadly could not. To all those who came out thanks for your interest.
We picked up two more people Yee haw
I had the privileged to perform a walk though on a home that took me back into the past.
What I mean to say is I became in touch with a feeling that you loose as an investigator. When you investigate for years and participate in many cases that are severe, the smaller cases loos the feeling of when you were a first time investigator or client. You fall into a routine. The small stuff to the investigator is a big scary thing to the client. You tend as a seasoned investigator to become distant to the events that cause fear to the client.
For example at this house I felt creeped out. Not at first, but after going into an adjacent structure. I had fear, dread, and something that did not like men at the location test me. It took me back to a 5 year period that in my life I talk with nobody about. Why, this period was the most vulnerable I have ever felt as a human being.
If I had to go spend a week at this location I would choose not to. If I had to return, I would, but would not want to. The test I faced at this location was very challenging and demanding. This was only a walk though, I did not expect a big issue, but it expected me.
Though challenged I faced it. This location was, well…… Yucky in paranormal terms. If you know the paranormal you know what I mean. If not never mind.
I miss the feeling of “out there on the edge”. I am not an adrenaline junkie or anything, but never want to become to comfortable as the negative will always be there to mess with you.
So to this person, you gave me a gift, you gave me the feeling I missed for a while, made the investigating fresh again. Thank you.
Please help us welcome two new members to the Hometown Family. We recently accepted Mark Chapman yesterday and Stephany Wisell today. Their Pic’s and Bios will be added shortly.
Welcome to the team
++++++++++++Subject Matter May Be Disturbing++++++++++++
90% of Hometown Paranormal cases are residential or (home cases). Of that 90%, somewhere in the neighborhood of half these cases are the more serious cases. The Negative. Of the negative cases 10% can be classified as Demonic type cases. Since people have been asking for a better understanding of the Negative / Demonic, this information is being put together.
This subject matter is NOT to be taken lightly. Hometown Paranormal will NOT post the names of demons nor where to find more information. Though we believe in raising awareness, we feel that this topic is not taken seriously enough and it would run contrary to our mission (to help those in nneed) if we just put the information out there blindly, hoping that people will take it seriously and also that people woould not use the information for wrongful purposses.
Thus we will be happy to put some information out so people can have an understanding and be able to recognise possible signs and such.
First I Michael Mannings, the Director of Hometown Paranormal have had dealings with the negative personally and professionally. Professinally on cases helping those in need. Personally, I had an experience that lasted for a 5 year period as an adult. I have only told one other person to this day. This experience changed me, made me question everything including my faith. This experience was, and is to this very day still hard for me to discuss. After going though this experience I feel that people do not take this topic as serioous as they should. This topic is not to be taken lightly nor for the faint of heart. Let’s take a look.
NOTE: I am NOT, nor any member of my team a Demonologist. We and I have had many dealings with this very topic. For me the information was learned by talking with Demonoligists, Shamans, Priests, reading books, and serching out the truth.
NOTE: I also have others I can call into a case if needed, and I never exceed what I or my team have for capabilities.
THE TWO CATERGORIES
Most people ask “why does your team seperate the Negative from the Demonic”?
The Negative.
The negative can be spirits and or entities. They are inteligent. Not looking to pass a message or make simple contact. They are driven, determoined, and very patient. The function of the negative is quite simple. They want something from you, or to bother and scare you. They can be subtle or very forcefull. This can range from a person who is angry and hostile in life, passing and remaining that same way. Or something dedicated to bothering a person like a bully on the playground.
The negative is one step below the demonic and can in some cases try to make investigators believe that they or it is a Demon in an effort to scare off the help. They can also do most of the Demonic activity like but not limited to the following: thought issues, fear, depression, sadness, leaving scratches, movement of objects, leaving bruises, causing the feeling of intense anger to family and friends, pain and suffering, and the list is very long. The negative are very well versed in what makes us tick (our weaknesses, fears, etc.). They are tricksters and will use even your past, fears, experiences against you if given the oportunity. They will come to you usually as a friend our someone or thing you do not fear first. Then later it will act out. Often they can appear as a child to win sympathy. If you are dealing with a negative haunt activity usually starts low and works high. Say you may see shadows, then hear voices, then witness physical activity (stuff moving on it’s own), then experience more and more hostile activity. I would offer this to you. If you are experiencing not just being touched cause the good can do that too. But being grabbed, scratched, or physical pain with the haunt aspect, something negative may be at work. (MAY BE). Not a definite.
The low end negative may be able to be overcome by re afirming your faith and the like. The high end negative, will need a bit more work. Only trained investigators can determine if you have a regular or negative haunt. The negative do NOT take well to provocation. A bully does not like to be bullied and will often retaliate. “Is that all you got”, “Don’t go after my kids, come after me” and furthure statements often escalate the activity. If your activity is normally on a 1-10 scale being a 4, and you go taunting it you will experience retaliation like an 8 usually. You can NOT fight what you can not see, withought a trained team to back you. Homwtown can recognise things, provide information, and in most cases help.
Now, the negative is just below the Demonic. This is the highest catergory. The worst activity falls under this catergory. The signs and symptoms are close to that of the negative. But this catergory has more intense sub catergories with in it.
First let me say that the negative is a bully, well the Demonic is not a bully. It is true evil. It is there to TORMENT.
Second the demonic in most cases has to be given authority to be there. Or a gateway has to be established. What is meant here is like a person giving themselves over to something, playing with spirit boards, playing around with the occult or things they do not understand. Summoning something is a easy way to have a problem. Making soul pledges “if you do this for me I will be your servant” type of statements to the demonic, no matter how silly you think it is at the time. Something could try to collect. Belif in the devil but not God. Straying from faith. We can also move into a place that has the activity, bring hom an unclean item (artifact that was used for tribal practices and sacrafices) and the list here is extensive also but you get the idea.
There are different levels of activity when it comes to the demonic. The first is Demonic Infestation, the Second is Demonic Oppression, and the third is Demonic Possession.
The Demonic Infestation.
This is when the Demon (s) move in to a location. They may act like typical ghost type activity. The goal is to scare or trick you into compliance. Like keep you from sleep, freak you out, torment you. You may notice that if you have a feeling to do something that you feel is against you or your faith and you go against it there is a consequince. But if you go with it things appear fine. This occurs a lot and it is you giving the authority to the demon to bother you. It will promote you interacting with it in frequesncey. Separating you from friends, family, hobbies, and everyhthing you do for enjoyment. If you have a family it will make you fight and argue with them and can in some cases lead to harmful activity and even splitting the family. In the end it wants it’s target to give control over to it so it can claim you.
Demonic Opression
Demonic oppression is when the demon makes it more personal, taking over the person’s thoughts for a time. The goal is NOT to torment naturally but to put strain on the victim emotionally, psychologically and physically, causing them eventually to “give up” and accept more complete control from the demon. The demon now has enough of a hold on the person’s life, mind and soul that they can afford to let the truth be known: they want to destroy the target and damn their soul, usually through suicide. Depression and self harm issues are usually in this catergory.
Demonic Possession
This is when the person has been worn down, given up or given in to the demon. There is authority given and thus as a result the advantage is taken. The demon now has control of thoughts, emotions and behavior. These periods of time when the person’s body is not under their control are frequent, or constant. The demon is now always in the ear of the target and the victim always finds themselves doing things that “are not me”. The person’s ability to actively ask for help will likely be severely curtailed by threats from the demons of punishment for seeking help. There are levels of a possession.
Partial Possession
This is the early stages. This stage is the hardest to diagnose as most of the signs appear to be like completely normal occurences. If diagnosed in this stage the target will recover a full natural life with minimal resistance at the time of the help. The occurances are not all the time, and when they occur people may or may not notice. Here are a list of some signs.
01. Partial control of the mind, speech and some body movements.
02. Dreams become intense nightmares.
03. Sleep is constantly disturbed.
04. Constant headaches. (Chronic and sometimes varying in intensity)
05. Negative emotions such as fear and hate are intensified.
06. Hearing spirit voices that confuse their thinking prevent normal concentration needed for completing the daily tasks associated with a everyday life.
07. Person might talk aloud to the spirits. (Not to be confused with just talking to them selves but, actually holding conversations with spirits that the victim claims to see or hear).
08. Says something not related to the situation being talked about.
09. Shows agitation by swearing and cursing.
Note this list is partial and these symptoms can also be found naturally. A trained investigator or clergy member is needed to properly diagnose.
Intermediate Posession
Most cases are identified and may occasionally be resolved with experienced personell
Some symptoms include but are not limited to:
The stages of help for the Negative / Demonic
Now that you have read about the Negative and Demonic here are the lists of help. We will start low and work to the most extreme.
With the neagtive, early on recognition of the problem, investigating to draw conclusions, and then recomending what to do are key. Often in the negative some steps are as follows:
01. Performing past closing cermomonies. (dealing with past issues of life)
02. Re affiirming your faith. (people may have stepped from thier faith, solving this is key)
03. Prayer (this goes with number 2 hand in hand).
04. House Blessing (cleaning the space from the negative) Reccomended for all, not just paranormal. can be performed by layity who are trained.
05. Annointing for protection
06. Property or person deliverance (one step below exorcism) Must be performed by clergy and is dangerous.
07. Exorcism Clergy only and is extermely dangerous.
Now if you are dealing with the negative and demonic even a simple house blessing can yeild big issues, all of these things are the good standing up against evil. Spiritual warfare.
Now there are a lot of signs and symptoms that can be atributed to Negative/Demonic/and basic hauntings. Knowing what you have if anything should be left up to the professinals.
On 28 January2012 Hometown Paranormal will be checking out a residential case in New Hampshire. This will be a case set up, not investigation yet.
On 10-25-11 Hometown Paranormal investigated the historic Ethan Allen Homestead in Burlington Vermont. The investigation yeilded a few pieces of evidence and some personal experiences. More to follow after case meeting with client. Stay tuned.
Hey all,
Two…Zero…One…Two…
Yeah 2012. This month has indeed been very good to Hometown Paranormal. With all of the write in shouts and praises, with being able to help those in need, with the recent media coverage, the Ethan Allen Homestead event yesterday, and the radio interview on tuesday and so on. When I started out on this mission many years ago I tried to not be in the position I am now in, the “guy” or Director, or face of a group. I was content being in the background of this community, the paranormal community.
Now, I see I should have been doing this much sooner. Funny how things become clear. I want to take a moment to say thanks to those who have helped me along the way, you know who you are. Thanks to you.
Well, I see where Hometown is going and I am thrilled to know the direction it is moving to. With this I am ever contemplating the next move. I never want to have us outgrow the “Hometown” appeal and feel. There is a struggle with in me to keep things simple, to not let things get big, but at the same time big enough so those who need us know who we are.
I never knew having gone through paranormal experiences that would lead me into learning all that I have would have taken me in this direction. To be able to help others. To have a team of dedicated investigators who too would share my journey.
Ok,
I will never tire. I will not rest. I will seek the truth. I will help those in need who have had paranormal experiences. This is what I was called to do. To stand up for those who can not do so related to paranormal events. Sometimes as a listener, sometimes as a friend, sometimes as a warrior, and always driven to help. Though there are no guarantees in the paranormal, Hometown will do what we can.
Hi Folks,
I am sorry I have not been keeping up with the log here. Man I feel bad. But you should know that we have been very busy here at Hometown. Working cases, setting them up, doing promo, you know the drill.
I am re doing the web site again and also adding a youtoube channel (or trying to) while interviewing cases, clients, and oh yeah folks who wish to join the Hometown Family.
I made a resolution for the new year. To type more…. Will see how that goes.
Well, happy holidays to you all out there in cyberspace from yours truly and also the whole team….
Thankyou Hometown Paranormal
Director & Co Founder: Rev. Michael A. Mannings
As a seasoned paranormal investigator who helps those in need, you tend to place yourself in a position to have a strong experience. When this happens you define it or it will define you. This is now the third time in my life where an experience made such an impact. Thus reminding me of something we as investigators forget, how a client feels when they call for our services. Weird how it happened on 31 October 2011 though.Director: Michael A. Mannings Hometown Paranormal
Hey folks, I am sorry for slow updates. I have been busy but that happens. I am updating the website right now again. Our calender is quiet but things have been happening behind the scenes here at Hometown. I have applied to have our own radio show, stay tuned for that. Back to work c’ya
